Can you smoke Angel's Trumpet leaves?

I was visiting someone, tonight, who had an Angel's Trumpet plant (Brugmansia version). They said that someone told them they could smoke the leaves. Aparently, this guy smoked this stuff in his home country, like people normally smoke pot. All I seem to find, online, are stories of people making tea out of flowers and ending up in the hospital. I'm not able to find anything useful about smoking the leaves.
