My gramma passed away over my spring vacation, how am i suppose to answer the millions of "howd your break go"?

Be yourself... honesty without drama. Life and death touch everyone, so it is not like you are abnormal. You can just say you had some unexpected challenges or your world was turned upside down, or I lost someone I loved very much.
