I have a boy problem! please helpppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok so this new guy moved to my school about a month ago and i thought he was pretty cute. Then he started being friends with all the "popular" girls and boys. So I talked to him once about h.w. but that was it. But then all of a sudden like 2 weeks later i started to reallllllly like him. I found out his # from one of my friends but didn't want to text him. So i added him on fb and he accepted. Then the next day at lunch i was looking at him and he looked back and we made eye contact for like 2 seconds and it was kinda akward. I really wanted to talk to him so on Sunday i went on my sister's ipod and using text plus, texted him. i figured that if i didnt send him a txt from my phone he wouldnt know it was me, well I was wrong. I had forgotten that my username for textplus was included in the frikin text so basically he knew it was me who texted him. I'm pretty sure he likes another girl because his friend tried to set him up with his gf's best friend. But now im afraid that when i go to school 2morrow hes gonna ask him if i texted him. if i say yes, hell prob be like well howd u get my number? im freaking out bc he probably thinks im ugly and ugh idk i just need some help on what to do or reassurance. thanks<3
