Birth control questions?

I'm on Loestrin 24 Fe, and I've had a few concerns with this birth control. But one of my concerns is whenever I wipe after using the bathroom, the toilet paper is brownish. Its sometimes a little red looking too.. its not a normal period and I'm not even through the pack. Is this breakthrough bleeding? I've been trying to take my pills on time but i've been anywhere from 15 minutes late taking it one day to over an hour late. Could this cause this? I started taking the pill on a Sunday while I was still on my period, like my doctor told me to do. I was just wondering if I should be concerned and ask my doctor or let it be. Thank you!
