8days late period and got a spot of blood what could this be?

so basically im 8days late for my period and just today i woke up and went to the bathroom. When i looked in the toilet i saw a really small clump or spot of blood and then when i wiped i got a little bit of a orangey maybe pink color of blood. What could this be? Is it bad? Im also haveing cramps.
